The reality star explained how after Cibrian left her for Rimes, the three were "at each other throats" and it was harming her and Cibrian's children, so she suggested therapy.
In the extract of her book, serialised on RadarOnline she writes: “a few days later, he sent me an e-mail saying that both he and LeAnn would be open to seeing a family therapist, if they chose the doctor.
She continued: “‘Ugh,’ I thought. Of course it had to be on their terms. I couldn’t care less which doctor we went to, but I had to make a little fuss about it before I eventually conceded.”
LeAnn Rimes, 30, has hit back at her husband Eddie Cibrian's ex-wife Brandi Glanville - who branded LeAnn ''insane'' and desperate in an interview on Monday night - and claims she is fed up of her constant lying and negative comments.
Speaking to chat show host Jimmel Kimmel, LeAnn sighed: ''I usually don't engage. But there comes a time when you're just like, 'S***w you'. That's it, and that's all you wanna say and you're like, 'I'm done with this now,' for like another three months.
''I think it's kind of interesting how it seems one-sided most of the time. But then, you know, you just kinda get fed up with people lying about you and you're like ... words, here.''The 'Can't Fight The Moonlight' singer and the 'Real Housewives of Beverley Hills' star have been engaged in a vicious mud-slinging contest for months. Brandi claims LeAnn - who hooked up with Eddie while they were both still married to other people - is a bad stepmother to her children, Mason, nine, and five-year-old Jake, while LeAnn regularly insists she wants to end the feud.
One thing troubled star LeAnn agreed with Brandi about, however, was that she is ''insane''.
She shocked the audience by telling TV host Jimmy: ''I am, though''.
LeAnn checked into rehab to undergo treatment for anxiety and stress last year, which she says was partly brought on by online criticism of her marriage to Eddie.
That wasn't the worst of it however, as Brandi also revealed how they forced her to sign a Non-disclosure agreement, something she didn't take well.
Glanville described her response as follows: “It took all my strength not to respond, ‘Right, because you both are soooo f**king famous that every newspaper in the world would be clawing for the story of what Eddie and LeAnn revealed during co-parenting therapy.’ Are you f**king kidding me? It was laughable. I decided that at the end of the day, this was about being better people to one another so we could be better parents, so I agreed to sign the NDA. “
Yet the problems apparently didn't end there, as after arranging the session, she turned up a little late, only to be upstaged by her ex and new lover as she recalled: “The lovebirds hadn’t yet decided to grace the office with their presence,” but Rimes had apparently dressed up for the occasion in heels to look especially stunning.
Sadly the aforementioned NDA precludes us from intruding further into this private grief, but Glanville did state: "I can’t reveal what was discussed when we finally stepped into the therapist’s office, but I can share that it was an incredibly gratifying and vindicating experience
