• UK vs Japan Most Country use cell phone.

Mobile technology is rapidly changing and improving. Its usage is considered as regularly as morning coffee, and people who have yet to join the age of communication are not allowed a footing in their industry at all. Mobile usage is measured per countries now, and for the past few years, technological giant Japan had been leading the list. Now, the UK is leading with its natives using 424 megabytes of data every month, as opposed to Japan where 392 megabytes are used. This is quite a shock to some, since UK is not known for its high levels of internet usage or being as tech savvy as its Japanese counterparts. The latter country, meanwhile, is known for being the builders of technology.

The UK is considered by many to be relatively mild mannered when it comes to technology usage. Its natives have strong purchasing power and there are various convenient payment methods for people who want to buy newly released products. Thus, almost the entire population makes use of the technology boom in the country, and products are rushed into release by loyal fans there. However, this is not the reason for data consumption by UK people. The increase in data usage is due to the fact that television is accessed by a lot of people over the internet. The number is higher than that in the U.S, according to Of-com. According to the Financial Times, UK enjoys one of the highest levels of penetration as per smartphones, standing at around 58% market share. Tablet computers are also highly popular in the UK and the country has one of the highest level of sales for gadgets such as tablet PC’s, Kindles, iPods, i Pad and WI-Fi enabled products.

Another reason for such high usage of data is that 4G networks have not yet been released. These are better equipped to deal with internet usage over smartphones or tablet devices, and can cater to the large number of people in the country who want to access TV or download data from the internet. The UK is well known for its strong retail chain store brands, for instance, Debentures, Marks and Spenser’s and Boots. These are stores that have been around for multiple decades and have recently started to cater to the masses through social media and online shopping. With such cold weather in the country, more and more people opt for online shopping in particular seasons. Add to that the fact that the post system of the country is exemplary and deliveries are made in perfect time, and you have another reason why internet is considered so vital to the folks there. What comes as a shock is that the usage has beat even Japan, what with the latter country being one of the biggest providers and developers of the technology being used in the world. Japan is considered more tech savvy than the UK, but the truth remains that social media networking sites like Facebook and Twitter are increasing in popularity and usage in the latter country. Everyday, more and more people are connecting with their friends via social networking, and smartphones are the biggest contributors of that.
