    The Taiwanese manufacturer, Asus has indicated that the company is planning to launch the Google Nexus 7 tablet in India soon. Though the company did not share any specific month but shared that the launch should happen in the most half of the year.

    Peter Chang, Regional Head, South Asia & Country Manager, System Business Group, Asus India, also mentioned that the company will be launching Nexus 7 in collaboration with Google in India and are just waiting for the go ahead from Google.
    Google Nexus 7 tablet was first showcased in June 2012 and went on sale in US from mid-July. The tablet is powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, which clocks at 1.3 GHz. It comes with 7-inch IPS display screen with a 1280x800 resolution. The other features of the tablet include 1GB of RAM, 1.2 megapixel front camera and 4,325mAh battery. At the time of launch, the tablet shipped with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box.

    The tablet has been available in India from November 2012 for Rs. 19,999. When quizzed about the official price for the Google Nexus 7 in India, the company indicated that it should be to the lesser than Rs.19,999.

    Earlier in 2012 Samsung had decided against launching Galaxy Nexus in India and there had been a lot of question marks regarding whether other Google Nexus devices will ship to India. However, now with Google planning to launch Nexus 7 in India in collaboration with Asus, one can hope that Google Nexus 4 and Google Nexus 10 devices to be available in India sometime in the future.

    Asus has also announced 7-inch tablet MeMO Pad ME172V in the country for Rs. 9,999. This is the cheapest tablet that the company is offering. The Taiwanese company is also planning to launch a competitively priced tablet with 3G and voice calling feature in India by June.

    According to Chang the company is eyeing 15 percent market share in the tablet market in the current calendar year. He also mentioned that the company could have as many as four new tablets being offered within the price range of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000 in the near future.

    3. The PDF reading application is a common need for tablet computers, and there are many of them found in Google Play Store paid or free.

    1. Reduce the screen brightness and minimise the screen off timeout to save more battery.

    2. Deactivate Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS if not in use.
