A unique footwear brand that made it to the list of “50 Shoes That Changed the World” – Melissa finds new collaborator in renowned designer Karl Lagerfeld, is news we’ve read about. In relation to this collaboration, the artistic innovator recently made public the previews of his designs for the first four-piece lot for Melissa in the series of ranges to follow in the coming next seasons. Christened Melissa Glam + Karl Lagerfeld, Melissa Ginga + Karl Lagerfeld, Melissa Elegance + Karl Lagerfeld, and Melissa Incense + Karl Lagerfeld, the design inspiration of these tip-toed beauties originates from the Brazilian roots Melissa hails from.

Karl explains this as a concoction of his European background with the aesthetics of a country he is currently discovering. Working with the jelly shoe maker’s patented Melflex Technology would be a first for Lagerfeld who is normally acquainted with the traditional techniques of shoe-making. Nonetheless, the designer seemed quite excited and thrilled about this new venture.
