PRADA SpA's net profits soared by 44.9 per cent to €625.7 million (£531.7 million), in 2012 compared to €431.9 million (£366.9 million) in 2011. Revenues rose by 29 per cent to €3.29 billion (£2.79 billion).

The figures break "new records in terms of revenues and earnings", according to the label's CEO, Patrizio Bertelli. The boost was caused by growth in all markets, and a successful year's trading in leather goods.

"Based on these results and a sound equity and financial structure, we will proceed along our path of growth with further investment on retail network expansion, confident that, general economic uncertainty notwithstanding, the work that has been done over the past few years has laid the foundations for the future success of our business," Bertelli told WWD.

    Helena Christensen.

HELENA CHRISTENSEN will launch a collection with bag label Kipling. The 11-piece line will hit stores in September.

The range is inspired by the supermodel's photography collection, with a spring floral motif taking centre stage. Fabrics carry a vintage theme, from classic tan leather to lace prints. Pictures of the collection are being kept secret until the launch date draws nearer. The collaboration was celebrated last night at a party held at Beach Blanket Babylon in London.

    Jaeger To Launch Boutique.

JAEGER will open a new space in its Regent Street flagship tomorrow, housing a curated mix of Britain's leading emerging brands. The Boutique Gallery will feature ready-to-wear, jewellery and accessories labels - including Preen, Mawi and Charlotte Taylor - which will sit alongside the British brand's contemporary Boutique line. The aim of the project is to offer a platform for the UK's design talent in a central London location.

"The new Boutique Gallery at Jaeger Regent Street offers an exciting opportunity for fresh young British designer brands to showcase in this iconic location alongside our own Boutique by Jaeger brand," Shailina Parti, Jaeger brand director, told us. "It offers innovation, pure design and a Brit ethos that demonstrates our commitment to the UK and to home-grown talent and design."

The area, which will be situated on the store's second floor, will also be home to a complimentary coffee lounge - with views over Regent Street and a gallery wall displaying Jaeger's rich history.
