But while some of the Strictly Come Dancing stars have found friends for life on the show, there are others who have found foes.

Now can reveal former This Morning presenter Fern Britton, 55, has got her Spanx in a twist over fellow plus-size contestant Lisa Riley, 36.

The presenter, who shrank from a size 22 - the same size as Lisa - down to a size 14/16 thanks to gastric band surgery in 2008 and a healthy diet and exercise regimen, has been making a few close to the mark jokes about the former Emmerdale actress's weight behind her back.

'Fern's always seen as a mother hen, but she's not been like that at all,' reveals our source.

'She's very competitive, which shocked a lot of people.

'She made a joke about Lisa's weight, but it fell flat as it was really catty, especially as Fern should have empathy having once been bigger herself.'

And it turns out the newly crowned queen of mean isn't just picking on Lisa.

'She's having a right bitch about everyone on the show and is saying she's already fed up with Jerry Hall being a diva,' adds the source.
